Chicken Ancestry

This summer I got a special gift from Grandma Darling.  Grandma Darling is my Grandma Cozy's mother. She gave a me a small but beautiful figurine made of glass, a sweet letter, & a picture of her dad (my great-great Grandpa) with a huge chicken. She said it was hard to give up, but she did it anyway.

Here is the figurine on my dresser in my room.  Well, down there. I adore it. So,grandma kitty, I hope you get this!  Thank you and I love you.

Books I've Read: Jenny of the Tetons

My dad gave me a book called "Jenny of the Tetons" (by Kristiana Gregory).  It is a book about an Indian named Jenny who was married to a man named Beaver Dick Leigh.  They adopted a young girl named Cassie, whose parents got killed by Indians.  Beaver Dick and Jenny were real people that lived in Idaho and Wyoming.  They had 6 kids.  All of the family (except Beaver Dick) died of small pox.

Now we are in Idaho visiting Grandma and Grandpa Anderson.   On Wednesday we went to see historical areas where Jenny and Beaver Dick lived.  We tried to see Jenny's grave, but the river was flooding too much.  That was not cool!

We went to Beaver Dick Park, an area where they had lived.  They turned it into a park and a historical place.

Now we are just chillin' out up in Idaho.

Babies

These are the triplets! The one with blood on his face is MARIO.  The one closest to me is APRIL.  The one next to April is FREYA.  Mario had his leg bent wrong, but he recovered quickly.  There only a few minutes old.

This is GIDEON's middle.  He is a few weeks old & has deep arm pits.  He is very Buddha like. He is a blondie with blue eyes. He smiles a lot and he is like the cutest thing ever.

This is one of the best baby years ever!
